I’m a glass blower who is often inspired by the sea and the tides. The ocean fascinates me. I am attracted to coloured glass; working with different ones to see what reactions they have with each other. Because of how the colours are made they all react differently together. With this current collection, the white is much softer than the metallic black causing it to repel the white, which helps form the surface decoration on my pieces. Glass is such a fluid material to work with requiring constant attention. Movement is essential in achieving form and function in order to form my beautiful teardrop shape. Gravity is used as a tool this gives each piece a unique quality.
