BIO

Knitwear and textile womenswear designer. Thrives when creating innovative fabrics using unusual materials. Enjoys fashion illustration as well as Computer Aided Design (mainly Photoshop and Illustrator).

My final major project was based on the cultural and art movement of the 1990’s heavily influenced by the post-modern art industry and pointlessness people feel towards post-modern art as a generalisation. Rebelling from the previous modern art movement, post-modern art is full of conceptual substance, blurring the lines between was has previously been considered art and what defines it now. The result of my aesthetic combined with my concept is a very textural collection guaranteed to intrigue the viewer and show the desirability of items found around the average household. To then gain inspiration for my silhouettes, I looked into football hooliganism - which was prominent around the time post-modernism hit the art scene.
