BIO

My entirely drawn and printed collection took its form when I began to embrace the chaos that surrounded me and stopped asking why or what if. I didn't understand the purpose of the trauma, neither could I control it's outcome but I could however, change how I viewed it by turning it into something with meaning. The scribble allowed me creative freedom, an opportunity to let go and stop worrying about what would be. This permanent disorganisation, was ironically a complete organisation of everything I felt I'd lost control of. The masculine silhouettes and pinafores derived from garments with function, items that are overlooked because of their purpose, therefore not realised for their design potentional. The school boy and the artist were the main influences for the garment shapes. Layers were also very important in building a picture, representing the dimensions of my life that came together to create who I am.
