A celebration of deconstructing denim

BIO

A womenswear designer with a strong interest in effortless design, textile application and in depth experimentation.

My collection which was recently shown at London's Graduate fashion Week was inspired by deconstructing denim, using the unique properties of denim to my advantage. I have used processes such as bleaching, fraying and distressing which I have used to create a different coloured denim and textile application for each garment that has all originated from the same denim.  Proportions have been taken from classic denim garments rearranged and creating shear areas to create unique denim garments.

Recent achievements include

  • Shortlisted as 1 of 10 finalists for the Clothes Show Live Creative Awards 2014  Young Designer of the Year
  • Highly commended at De Montfort University Roadly Awards, for my innovative work with Denim.
  • Nominated for the Karen Millen Portfolio Award at London Graduate Fashion Week
