BIO

Womenswear and Textile designer. Exploring and manipulating fabrics is one of my strenghts paired with some technical pattern cutting . My final major project was based around the idea of perception. I have always had a love for exploring the ordinary person on the streets, even at work to the equipments they use on the job. The concept was triggered from me looking at images of the 1930s and 1940s working woman. Shells that hold delicate things exhibits the idea of something that appears to having a tough exterior, however in actuality its very fragile up close.  All my ideas were translated through sheer lightwight fabrics such as pvc plastics sculpted into solid structures and sihlouettes derived from stand work which played as the 'shell'. The work element of my research ingresses through the use ropes, leatherettes, silver finishings, creating print based around hardware objects and boots to style the entire look.
