BIO

About me:
I am a restless, energetic student. Throughout my time at this university, I have shown commitment to work which along with my organisational skills, helped me perform very well through both of my last year's projects. I am able to develop my ideas through discussion but also individually and I have shown excellent attendance throughout the entire year.

• 2015- Winner of the competition to design King Richard the III pavilion- organised by: Leicestershire and Rutland Society of Architects

Leicester Cultural Landmark project:
In my second term of the third year project, I have undertaken the task of reconstructing an old railway station and turning it into a cultural landmark.

The project discovers a derelict and redundant railway station, and physically dismantles it in the air. The building essentially uses the arches as the hosts for the artists workshops, and breaks further in, into what used to be an underground passage, but further expanding its volume, creating a space for an exhibition hall and an auditorium, eventually breaking through the top of the structure, escaping onto the surface of the old train station

Currently, the site is redundant and hidden, unnoticed by every day by passers, which is almost peculiar due to the history of the station and the amount of historical and cultural attractions nearby. The Cultural Centre, as an institution will hold a number of responsibilities, such as cultural education through art, integration of local communities or creating conditions for the development of amateur art movement.

The work presented in this collection is a small selection of my second terms work and was selected over many other final drawings.
