I truly believe design - as an interdisciplinary power - can solve contemporary issues that involve people. Throughout the course, I developed a range of skills and a large understanding of design and architecture as a whole, which yielded to excellent results and to create a variety of different architectural as well as design based projects. As an adventurous, fearless individual I am continuously seeking growth & inspiration through constant exploration of my surroundings resulting in me becoming a well-rounded designer and interior architect. I am passionate, hardworking & curious with the drive to create something new & unique through collaboration, innovation, ingenuity and of course a bit of fun. Evidently, I took upon designing a highly ambitious project by rethinking the way community centres are perceived and the sociological impact that design has on creating communities.

With my Final Major Design project, I proposed a possible solution to a current problem in society regarding acculturation using design methodologies. Using the variety of skills that I have obtained throughout the course and general experience, I took a challenging industrial building and transformed it into a community centre. Through the exploration of sociological architecture and design, the project builds on creating an inviting space promoting unity as a means of cultural integration. Focusing on what brings people together, the centre will be the new hub for the city’s population.
