BIO

After completing my undergraduate architecture degree at Plymouth School of Architecture, I proceeded with my M.Arch degree at Leicester School of Architecture which I have completed this summer.

My Final year project is located in the heart of Leicester's city centre. After BHS shut down in the summer of 2016 the City found itself with a vacant retail space in its core, this presented the perfect opportunity to site my project. Located between Leicester Market and the locally disconnected Curve Theatre, the project works as a link, through my exploration of the term 'arcade'.

The project investigates the idea of transformation throughout the day and the way a space can change use. The architectural language leads the user towards the central performance area on the lower level through strategic placement of the Live-Work Units, ranging from two to four stories. These units are intended for local venders, artisans and graduates to sell their wears in conjunction with the local market whilst raising the publicity of all in the local area.

I am currently looking to join an Architecture practice to continue my development, progressing towards my Part III examinations.
