BIO

I am versatile designer who loves a bit of everything – I enjoy different challenges that keep me focused and creatively stimulated. From my degree I have gained versatile skills in a wide variety of apparel areas, and in particular I have found a love for swimwear and beachwear. The exotic romanticism and carefree attitude associated with this product area really appeals to my nature as a designer.

I enjoy creating exciting prints from original drawings. My strength lies in combining a keen eye for colour with a flair for shaping and silhouette to create eye-catching collections. This is underpinned with good technical and pattern cutting knowledge, with experience in using Lectra Modaris software as well as hand-drafting skills.

My final collection featured here was inspired by objects from the "MING: 50 years that changed China" exhbition held at the British Museum. My aim was to explore dynamic print and silhouette combinations to create a modern fashion forward swimwear collection.

Internships: Harrogate Bridal Show, Biondi Couture, Sprite Productions, Seafolly

Acheivements:

  • Selected as one of 20 students to have my final collection showcased at the DMU Contour catwalk show at Covent Garden. Subsequently featured in WGSN at one of the Top 5 Designers of the show
  • MODA Project design featured as part of "The Graduate Collection" in Underlines Magazine and showcased at the MODA trade show at the NEC
