"The said realm is filled with many things; all manner of beasts...........glass skies and no doors," Peter said. I was already in. I remembered this reality.

"The world we saw from the other side of the moon" They said.........Look right......"Run, run, lost girl!" The man from the other side of the moon, said. She didn't hear him. She was already lost.........He wasn't really there. Nothing was really there.

Little do you know........."What is your social utopia?" The girl asked......Darling, the battlefield is filled with fatality.

Yesterday a fairy may have offered me..........

When we're bored we play in the woods......The arcades are, where lost girls like me hide, and lost girls like me, are free.........

Arcades of Neverland

BIO

My practice is heavily influenced by film and performance. Film montage is a concept that I am currently exploring within my work. This series, like my practice; seeps with narrative; fluid, ambiguous and open to interpretation. Each one of the photographs within this project shapes an elaborate story, weird and phantasmagorical. In this series; Arcades of Neverland…, my inspiration derives from urban spaces. I am interested in the analysis of urban environments in comparison to quiet uncanny landscapes; cities, society, time, memory, reality and how all these factors shape the world around us, how they deteriorate time and the reality that we perceive. A massive influence within my practice is the work of Russian filmmaker Tarkovsky; surrealist contemporary literature, such as the work of Haruki Murakami; and also the work of Walter Benjamin and his Arcades Project which set the foundation for my interest in artificial landscapes, broken realities, dreams and disjointed memories.
