The idea behind this work to highlight the impact that industry has on the landscape it is situated in. Using high quality images and incorporating graphical aspects in to the visuals of the work, it allows for the emphasis to be put on the structures depicted in the imagery to communicate the idea of destruction through aesthetically pleasing images.

The issue of industrialised work polluting the landscape is presented in this work through the use of 2-dimensional geometric shapes, more specifically the use of a single line, square, and circle. These shapes are integrated into the work to highlight the linear outlines of the industrialised buildings, which are depicted as the subject in the imagery.

The issues and ideas represented in the work are areas that I have invested myself within for a considerable amount of time. This work is acting as an extension of previous work I have completed on a similar subject. This work is intended to be the new generation of industrialization photography.

To construct this idea of incorporating shapes and colours within the work to help represent the underlying meaning, but to also enhance the aesthetic of the work, the work of other practitioners had to be investigated.

In conclusion, this work merges the use of graphical features with high quality, well considered imagery, to create a piece of artwork, which effectively communicates the idea of the industrialised culture of the 21st century is quickly destroying the environment in which it is situated.
