BIO

I've always enjoyed using print in my work and continue to do so with this project. My final major project is based on personal dislikes. I've used these to my advantage by taking elements of 80's clothing and reinventing them, using them as a starting point along with printing and using embroidery for motifs.

We are always told to create a project with a concept that we like so there is enough scope in the work. I felt like by doing the opposite I still had enough work to play with aswell as adding a tongue in cheek fun element. So many people use the work 'hate' for everything such as desribing a song they don't like or even day to day activities, i wanted to use these but with a personal touch to create a fun collection.
The print and beading i've used include things from text to food throughout my collection. I focused on my silhouette alot in order to create the shapes i wanted as i feel that this is just as important as the fabrics used and the embellishment.
